Traffic Stop, 5:03 a.m., SW Broadway Street/SW Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Suspicious Vehicle, 5:15 a.m., Sixth and Front streets, Lyons. Deputy contacted a vehicle on private property and learned the female occupant was sleeping in the vehicle due to an argument with her boyfriend. Both live across the street.

Traffic Stop, 5:21 a.m., Cedar Mill Road/Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Driver warned for moving violation.

Traffic Stop, 5:29 a.m., Main Street, Lyons. Driver warned for speed.

Abandoned Vehicle, 11:48 a.m., SE Grove Street, Mill City. Deputies spoke to a resident regarding a vehicle on city right of way.

Traffic Complaint, 6:28 p.m., Highway 226, Lyons. Deputies were unable to locate a traffic complaint.

DUII, 6:52 p.m., Gilkey Road, Scio. Deputy arrested a female, 30, for DUII. Driver had high centered her vehicle on the shoulder of the road.

Feb. 22

Traffic Stop, 4:11 a.m., NE Wall Street/N First Avenue, Mill City. Male, 39, of Stayton was cited in lieu of custody for a Marion County Circuit Court warrant and cited for driving while suspended.

Shots Heard, 8:45 a.m., SW Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Male was warned for shooting near the city limits.

Traffic Stop, 12:56 p.m., Stoller Road, Scio. Driver warned for expired registration.

Traffic Stop, 1:53 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for failure to renew registration.

Welfare Check, 2:05 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Person was found and was well.

Violation of Order, 4:16 p.m., Larwood Drive, Scio.

Feb. 23

Accident, 8:04 a.m., Fish Hatchery Drive/Highway 226, Scio. Single semi-truck in the ditch. No injuries.

Civil Dispute, 10:25 a.m., Fishermans Road, Lyons. Deputy answered questions about the eviction process and civil matter.

Traffic Stop, 11:37 a.m., SW Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Males warned about riding quads on street.

Person Assist, 12:12 p.m., Xmas Tree Road, Gates. Deputies responded to report of people stranded in the snow seven miles up S Rock Creek Road.

Park Patrol, 2:28 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mil City. Kimmel Park.

Feb. 24

Theft, 9:19 a.m., Eighth Street, Lyons. Deputies investigated unlawful entry into a motor vehicle.

Threats, 9:52 a.m., River Loop Road, Lyons. Multiple deputies attempted to reach the reporting person but there was no response.

Traffic Stop, 2:09 p.m., Main and 18th streets, Lyons. Driver warned for no plates and moving violation.

Trespass, 7:12 p.m., W Scio Road, Scio. Deputies arrived on scene and cleared the yard. No one was located.

Park Patrol, 10:16 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Person asked to leave Kimmel Park after dark.

Suspicious Circumstance, 11:31 p.m., NW Ninth Avenue, Mill City. Citizen flagged down a deputy to report seeing someone near the gas station trying to pump fuel when it was closed. Deputies were unable to locate anyone at either gas station.

Traffic Stop, 11:54 p.m., SE Fairview Street/S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for operating a vehicle without driving privileges.

Feb. 25

Traffic Stop, 12:13 a.m., NE Wall Street/NE Santiam Pointe Loop, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation.

Trespass, 2:40 a.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Possible prowler. Deputies were able to stop and identify both juveniles involved. Deputies took a report. Pending charges.

Traffic Hazard, 12:01 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputies responded to possible horse in the road. Horses were in fact just basking in the sun inside a gated area.

Safekeeping, 12:47 p.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. A resident at the location recently passed away. Family members requested the person’s medication be seized for safekeeping and destruction.

Abandoned Vehicle, 1:54 p.m., 10th Street, Lyons.

Theft, 7:27 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Deputies documented a vehicle break in with nothing taken.

Park Patrol, 10:01 p.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Freres City Park.

Assist Other Agency, 10:41 p.m., Fish Hatchery Road, Scio. A person was struck in the leg by a firework mortar they lit themselves. Subject was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Feb. 26

Suspicious Vehicle, 9:02 a.m., SE Second Avenue/SE Myrtle Street, Mill City. Deputies attempted to locate a suspicious vehicle that had left the scene.

Traffic Stop, 11:21 a.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to yield a traffic control device.

Extra Patrol, 11:43 a.m., SW Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputies attempted to locate a wanted subject.

Extra Patrol, 11:55 a.m., SW Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputies attempted to locate a wanted subject.

Warrant Service, 12:03 p.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Deputies attempted to locate a wanted subject.

Forest Timber Patrol, 2:21 p.m., Gates School Road, Gates. Encountered fresh snow up to 1-foot deep from Mad Creek to Green Mountain.

Abandoned Vehicle, 2:22 p.m., Gates School Road, Gates. Abandoned vehicle located in Santiam State Forest. Note was left stating the vehicle broke down and the responsible party would return for it.

Forest Timber Patrol, 2:34 p.m., Monument Peak Road, Gates.

Littering Violation, 4:07 p.m., Cedar Mill Road, Lyons. Deputies located a large amount of litter on private property. Deputies awaited victim contact for further action regarding enforcement action.

Noise Disturbance, 6:31 p.m., SE Juniper Street, Mill City. Homeowner was not aware his base was carrying as far as it was. He turned the music down for the night. He was warned that the noise was happening too frequently.

Traffic Stop, 10:26 p.m., S First Avenue/SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Driver warned for moving violation.

Feb. 27

Suspicious Circumstance, 1:24 a.m., NW Second Avenue, Scio. Male with mental health problems was given a ride to the psychiatric crisis center.

Traffic Stop, 11:49 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Park Patrol, 12:07 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Kimmel Park.

Domestic Disturbance, 1:36 p.m., NE Fourth Avenue, Mill City. No criminal charges were pressed for potential harassment. Parties were provided local resources.

Traffic Stop, 1:57 p.m., Richardson Gap Road/Montgomery Drive, Scio. Driver cited for 80 MPH in 55 MPH zone and failure to carry proof of insurance.

Traffic Stop, 3:54 p.m., SE Kingwood and SE Second avenues, Mill City. Driver warned for speed and recently expired registration.

Traffic Stop, 9:59 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver warned for moving violation.

Feb. 28

Suspicious Circumstance, 12:19 a.m., Cedar Mill Road, Lyons. Deputies conducted a security check of an abandoned mill after finding an open bay door. Nothing suspicious found.
