Feb. 14

Counter Traffic, 9:12 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Deputy assisted a male with checking to see if he had a warrant. The male had no current warrants.

Traffic Stop, 10:29 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for 65 MPH in 40 MPH zone.

Elder Abuse, 11:03 a.m., S McCully Mountain Road, Lyons. Deputies investigated a report of potential elder abuse. Nothing criminal found.

Mail Theft, 1:19 p.m., NW Third Avenue, Scio. Male, 35, of Scio was arrested on an Albany Municipal Court warrant. He was lodged at Linn County Jail.

Warrant, 5:08 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Male wanted to be cited for a warrant which was not yet created or in the system for Marion County. Male was advised to contact Marion County.

Feb. 15

Accident, 12:30 a.m., Gates School Road, Gates. Juvenile arrested for unauthorized use of vehicle, reckless driving and failure to perform duties of a driver.

Trespass, 10:18 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Suspicious vehicle left the area prior to deputies’ arrival.

Abandoned Vehicle, 11:05 a.m., Ninth Street, Lyons. A property owner allowed a friend to place a trailer next to her property. She now wants it gone. LSCO is working to contact trailer owner to advise him of this.

Traffic Stop, 1:37 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Driver warned for moving violation.

Feb. 16

Traffic Stop, 4:58 a.m., SW Broadway Street/SW Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for failure to register vehicle.

Traffic Stop, 8:37 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control devices.

Traffic Stop, 8:55 a.m., SW Broadway St., Mill City. Driver warned for failure to obey a traffic control device.

Dog Complaint, 9:10 a.m., Robinson Drive, Scio. Dog owner issued written warning for dog as a public nuisance and failure to license.

Trespass, 9:20 a.m., NE Third Avenue, Mill City. Deputies escorted a female off the property and gave her a trespass advisement.

Abandon Vehicle, 9:42 a.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. Vehicle was left blocking a timber access road. The owner was contacted and had just moved the vehicle.

Found Dog, 5:16 p.m., W Scio Road, Scio. Deputy spoke to a dog owner about her dog escaping the fenced yard and getting into the street.

Traffic Stop, 9:12 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Drive warned for 51 MPH in 40 MPH zone.

Traffic Stop, 9:46 p.m., S First Avenue/SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Drive warned for moving violation.

Traffic Stop, 9:54 p.m., S First Avenue/SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Driver cited for failure to carry proof of registration.

Trespass, 9:56 p.m., NE Third Avenue, Mill City. Female, 52, of Salem was cited in lieu of custody Criminal Trespass II.

Traffic Stop, 2:47 a.m., N First Avenue/NW Alder Street, Mill City. Driver warned for expired registration.

Traffic Stop, 4:32 a.m., NE Wall Street/N First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Traffic Stop, 4:55 a.m., SE Fairview Street/S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for expired tags.

Traffic Stop, 5:17 a.m., Highway 226/Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 5:37 a.m., Highway 226/SW Second Avenue, Scio. Driver cited for expired registration and warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 6:12 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver cited for 75 MPH in 55 MPH zone.

Identity Theft, 11:27 a.m., Gilkey Road, Scio. Report of identity theft.

Traffic Stop, 11:48 a.m., NE Wall Street/N First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Assist Other Agency, 12:42 p.m., Highway 22, Idanha. Deputy assisted Marion County with contacting an intoxicated male who ended up being transported by medics.

Traffic Stop, 1:31 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Driver warned for failure to obey traffic control device.

Fraud, 3:10 p.m., Gilkey Road, Scio. Report of fraud. No crimes were found to be committed.

Theft, 3:32 p.m., NW Clayton Place, Scio. Deputies attempted to contact a male who reported theft of his belongings by email. Male was unable to contact in person or by phone after multiple attempts.

Motorist Assist, 3:48 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputies assisted with a broken-down vehicle.

Feb. 18

DUII, 1:34 a.m., SE Fourth Avenue, Scio. Deputy responded to a report of a potential DUI driver. Unable to locate.

Disturbance, 8:26 a.m., Fisher Street, Scio. Report of a disturbance. No crimes were committed.

Suspicious Circumstance, 11:30 a.m., SW Fourth Avenue, Scio. Caller reported a neighbor yelling at their own children.

Dog Complaint, 11:38 a.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Deputy responded to a dog complaint.

Neighborhood Dispute, 1:15 p.m., River Loop Road, Lyons. Deputy spoke with caller about a property line dispute. Non-criminal.

Suspicious Circumstance, 4:14 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Deputy took a report of suspicious circumstance from Snapchat.

Feb. 19

Traffic Stop, 7:34 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver cited for driving uninsured.

Suspicious Circumstance, 9:51 a.m., Ridge Drive, Scio. Deputy helped tow truck driver and property owner exchange information due to a driveway being damaged.

Theft, 11:45 a.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Deputy took a report of a stolen farm trailer valued at $1,000.

Civil Dispute, 12:29 p.m., Ninth Street, Lyons. Deputy took report of civil issue about a water heater.

Welfare Check, 1:36 p.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. Deputy performed a welfare check to find a male who was unresponsive and appeared to be a possible overdose. Male was transported by medics to Lebanon Community Hospital.

Parking Complaint, 2:48 p.m., Blowout Road, Idanha. Parking complaint for cabins on USFS land. Appeared to be hikers but they were gone prior to deputies’ arrival.

Illegal Camping, 2:51 p.m., Monument Peak Road, Gates. Illegal camp in a trial head parking lot. Parking area was marked no camping and a motor home had been there a week. Owner was warned if she camped again she would be arrested for trespass.

ATL Vehicle, 3:36 p.m., Main Street/Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputies attempted to locate a stolen SUV out of Salem.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 5:20 p.m., Shoreline Drive, Lyons. Deputies recovered a vehicle that was reported as stolen to Salem Police Department. Ongoing investigation.

Animal Complaint, 5:55 p.m., Shilling Drive, Scio. Subject warned for livestock at large.

Civil Dispute, 7:18 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Caller had questions about a civil matter.

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:41 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive/Meridian Road, Scio. Suspicious vehicle left area prior to deputies’ arrival.

Suspicious Vehicle, 10:40 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputy checked on a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a property access. The vehicle was secured and nobody around.

Feb. 20

Traffic Stop, 5:44 a.m., Main Street/Apple Loop, Lyons. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 5:51 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Driver cited for passing in a no passing zone.

Traffic Stop, 7:20 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive/Trask Road, Lyons. Driver warned for speed.

Forest Timber Patrol, 11:37 a.m., Monument Peak Road, Gates. Assisted a confused hiker who was there for the first time since the fires.

Illegal Camping, 12:15 p.m., Monument Peak Road, Gates. Illegal camp. Party responsible was not at the location.

Traffic Stop, 9:17 p.m., NE Wall Street/N First Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for operating a vehicle without driving privileges.

Extra Patrol, 9:55 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Deputy discovered an unsecured gate. Deputy secured as much as possible.

Traffic Stop, 10:31 p.m., SE Whitten Road/S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for moving violation.
