There are current openings for members on the budget committee to work with the Santiam Canyon School Board. One position is in the Mill City/Gates area. The other position is for the Detroit/Idanha area.
Those wishing to apply must be an elector of the district, 18 years old or older, registered to vote in at least the past 20 days and must be a resident within the Santiam Canyon School District for the past year. Applicants may not be an employee of Santiam Canyon School District.
To apply for the opening, download an application directly from the district website, www.santiam.k12.or.us or pick up a copy at the district office. Interested parties can also submit a brief statement about their desire to represent the community to Todd Miller, Superintendent, Santiam Canyon School District #129J, P.O. Box 197, Mill City, OR 97360.
Applications and letters may also be emailed to [email protected] or brought to the school at 150 S.W. Evergreen St., Mill City.
The deadline application is March 8.
