Become a member of FEMA’s youth council

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is seeking applicants for its national Youth Preparedness Council. 

During a one-year term, members will meet with FEMA staff to develop strategies, initiatives, and project proposals. Members will travel to Washington, D.C. in July to participate in the annual council summit.

Students in eighth through 11th grades may apply at https://community.fema.gov/applytoYPC/s/.

Youth must submit a completed application form and provide two letters of recommendation and parent or guardian consent.

All applications are due by March 6 at 11:59 p.m.
