Esther Lou Stafford, 91, of Mill City passed away Dec. 11, 2022, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on Jan. 19, 1931, to Gilbert and Ann Weathers in Clayton, New Mexico.
After high school, Esther attended cosmetology school to become a hairstylist. She also spent time working as a cook for Santiam School District.
Esther married Marvin Stafford on March 17, 1949 in Skamania, Wash.
Esther was a member of Mill City Christian Church and loved quilting.
Esther is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Stafford. She is survived by her sons, Marvin Linn Stafford and Lee Stafford; daughter, Elaine Moore; brother, Dillard Weathers; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grand-daughter.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 21 at Mill City Christian Church.
