IDRFPD has opening on board of directors

The Idanha-Detroit Rural Fire Protection District has a vacancy on its Board of Directors.

Any resident, at least 18 years of age, who owns property within the boundaries of the Idanha-Detroit Fire District may apply.

Board members review and vote on fire district policies, approve budgets and spending, and are directly responsible for the hiring and employment of the Fire Chief. Board members must vote in the best interest of the fire district as a whole, and not for individual gain.

Board members work together as a team, and not as individuals, unless specifically direct to carry out a task by the governing body. Members must be able to accept and support the results of a majority vote.

Applications are available at idanhadetroitfire.com. The application window closes on Dec. 30. Candidate applications will be kept on an active list for a period of six months.
