Community Town Hall – 6 – 7 p.m., Gates Community Church of Christ, 40070 Gates School Road. Join the Marion County Board of Commissioners for a town hall to update canyon residents on what the county is doing to service its constituents as well as take questions and seek to better understand the needs of community members. RSVP is not required.

Scio Christmas Light Parade – 5:30 p.m., Main Street. Parade leaves the Scio Fire Station and travels Main Street to Scio Christian Church for community caroling at 6 p.m., and tree lighting at 6:30 p.m.

Lyons Tree Lighting – 6 – 8 p.m., Lyons Fire Department, 1114 Main St. First annual Christmas tree lighting. Come for an evening of lights, hot cocoa, holiday treats. Bring a camera for pictures with Santa and the Grinch. Free. 503-859-2410
