Nov. 1

Runaway, 1:49 a.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Juvenile located and returned to family.

Suspicious Person, 10:48 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Deputies responded to a suspicious male at the high school and escorted him away from the grounds.

Traffic Complaint, 2:57 p.m., Front and Eighth streets, Lyons. Conducted extra traffic presence.

Criminal Mischief, 3 p.m., River Loop Road, Lyons. Deputies documented information for an incident involving a husband and wife.

Traffic Complaint, 3:19 p.m., Mad Creek Road, Gates. Caller reported an odd encounter with someone they did not know.

Traffic Hazard, 4:24 p.m., Crabtree Drive/Cold Springs Road, Scio. Deputies arrived on scene and the vehicle was not impeding traffic as it was not over the fog line.

Extra Patrol, 11:55 p.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Nothing suspicious was seen.

Nov. 2

Extra Patrol, 1:47 a.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. No egregious violations observed; minimal traffic.

Extra Patrol, 2:14 a.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. No egregious violations observed; very light traffic.

Traffic Stop, 8:33 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for improper display of license plates.

Traffic Stop, 8:45 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Female, 34, of Molalla was issued a citation in lieu of custody for a warrant for her arrest.

Suspicious Circumstance, 11:12 a.m., Loma Drive, Scio. Deputy spoke to caller in regards to mail service.

Animal Complaint, 11:34 a.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Deputy responded to an animal call and learned it was in Marion County. The call was transferred to Marion County.

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:59 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle.

Extra Patrol, 1:14 p.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. Extra patrol upon the owner of a nearby residence request.

Extra Patrol, 1:17 p.m. Front and Ninth streets, Lyons. Extra patrol done in area of a traffic complaint from 11/1/22.

Extra Patrol, 2:26 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Extra patrol in the School Zone.

Welfare Check, 2:34 p.m., Shilling Drive, Scio. Nothing of concern was brought up.

Traffic Stop, 2:47 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Driver cited for no Oregon driver’s license.

Traffic Stop, 3:03 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for improper display of license plates and failure to renew registration.

Nov. 3

Traffic Stop, 8:51 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Warned for speed.

Suspicious Circumstance, 12:13 p.m., NW Clayton Place, Scio. Deputies investigated a suspicious circumstance. Nothing criminal occurred.

Suspicious Circumstance, 5:53 p.m., Rock Creek Road/Kingwood Avenue, Gates. Caller reported a burned car on Rock Creek Road. Vehicle had already been reported.

Missing Person, 8:23 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Missing female and juvenile were located; safe.

Nov. 4

Suspicious Vehicle, 7:59 a.m., Main Street, Lyons. Deputies attempted contact with reporting party of a suspicious vehicle; no answer.

Park Patrol, 12:41 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Park patrol of Roaring River county park.

Forest Timber Patrol, 12:59 p.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Patrolled Roaring River Mainline to Snow Peak Mainline. Weyerhaeuser properties. One contact with a valid permit holder.

Assault, 1:11 p.m., Stayton-Scio Loop, Scio. Deputies investigated incident involving possible child abuse.

Accident, 3:33 p.m., Kingston-Jordan Road, Scio. Deputies investigated a non-injury accident.

Nov. 5

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:26 a.m., Jefferson-Scio and Shelburn drives, Scio. Deputies received a report of a prior incident that was dealt with involving a turned over vehicle.

Disturbance, 1:59 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputies investigated a disturbance determined to be verbal in nature.

Traffic Hazard, 7:58 p.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Deputy found a cable hanging 4 feet off NW Alder Street. Homeowner secured the internet cable until the beginning of the week. Zipply refused to send someone out to make the repair until Monday.

Traffic Stop, 9:02 p.m., NE Santiam Blvd./NE Seventh Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Disturbance, 9:42 p.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Deputies located the origin of a possible disturbance and learned it was just children yelling at each other.

Traffic Stop, 10:42 p.m., SW Ivy Street/S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for driving violation.

Suspicious Vehicle, 11:55 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive/Cedar Mill Road, Lyons. Driver was transporting Christmas trees from the family Christmas tree farm. Driver cited for driving while suspended violation.

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:55 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Subject found in their car after hours at Kimmel Park using the WiFi to watch videos. Subject was warned for being in the park after dark.

Nov. 6

Motorist Assist, 1:15 a.m., N McCully Mountain Road, Lyons. Driver pulled off the road and became stuck when his vehicle slid down the hill. Driver made arrangements to remove the vehicle.

Extra Patrol, 1:18 a.m., SW Evergreen Street, Mill City. Extra patrol at Santiam Elementary. All seemed in good order.

Out with a Vehicle, 1:23 a.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Deputy came upon a vehicle parked at Miller Cemetery, and made contact with the driver. Driver was valid and insured.

Traffic Stop, 5:29 a.m., Main and 14th streets, Lyons. Driver warned for speed.

Dog Complaint, 11:59 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Deputies spoke with individuals regarding animals being in small kennels outside during inclement weather. Animals were put safely inside.

Traffic Stop, 6:39 p.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver released with a warning.

Missing Person, 7:11 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Person was located.

Assist Other Agency, 8:03 p.m., Stayton-Scio Loop, Scio. Deputies assisted Scio Fire with a call.

Extra Patrol, 10:32 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Park patrol of Kimmel Park. Nothing suspicious was seen.

Extra Patrol, 10:36 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Deputies conducted an extra patrol of an abandoned property.

Found Dog, 11:05 p.m., Highway 226/Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Deputies were unable to catch the dog.

Traffic Hazard, 11:29 p.m., Highway 226/McCully Mountain Road, Lyons. Deputies removed a fallen branch from the roadway.

Nov. 7

Extra Patrol, 12:58 a.m., SW Parkside Drive, Mill City. Deputies checked an abandoned residence. Everything seemed secure.

Extra Patrol, 7:40 a.m., NW First Avenue, Scio. Extra presence while kids are being dropped off at school.

Trespass, 10:37 a.m., Fox Valley Road/Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputies investigated a possible trespass. Nothing criminal was found.

Hit and Run, 11:01 a.m., Goar Road, Scio. Deputies responded to a hit and run crash. Ongoing investigation.

Suspicious Circumstance, 12:29 p.m., Shimanek Bridge Drive, Scio. Report of a cleaned deer carcass dumping in someone’s garbage.

Trespass, 1:01 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputy responded to a report of trespassing at a neighbor’s residence. Deputy learned the house had recently been purchased and the reported trespassers were actually the new owners.

Accident, 8:39 p.m., Jefferson-Scio and Robinson drives, Scio. Upside down vehicle in a field. Deputy responded and confirmed the vehicle was from a crash that had already been investigated by LCSO.

Traffic Hazard, 10:15 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road/Ridge Drive, Scio. Deputy patrolled the area and was unable to locate any livestock on the road.

Domestic Disturbance, 10:22 p.m., Fishermans Road, Lyons. Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance. Ongoing investigation.
