Local man charged for sex with minors

Reporter for The Canyon Weekly

A Mill City man is facing multiple felony charges after the alleged sexual assault of at least two underaged females, according to court records.

Tyler Matthew Willis, 22, was arrested Oct. 10, by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office for incidents occurring sometime during June of this year.

Willis allegedly had sexual contact with a female victim younger than 14 years old, as well as a second female victim younger than 18 years old. He is also accused of producing or distributing sexually explicit visual recordings of a minor.

Willis is charged with first-degree sexual abuse, second-degree rape, first-degree encouraging child sex abuse, and contributing to the dilenquency of a minor. Because his charges carry a Measure 11 penalty, he faces at least 75 months in prison if convicted.

As of press time, Willis was lodged in the Linn County Jail without bail.
