Sept. 19

Trespass, 2:28 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Deputies responded to a report of a trespass. Caller determined a solution and did not seek charges.

Accident, 3:55 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputies investigated an injury crash.

Extra Patrol, 8:44 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Deputies conducted an extra patrol of an abandoned property.

Extra Patrol, 10:46 p.m., 18th Street, Lyons. Patrol of an abandoned mill.

Sept. 20

Extra Patrol, 1:06 a.m., SW Fourth Avenue, Mill City. Deputies conducted a neighborhood patrol of south Mill City.

Extra Patrol, 1:47 a.m., N First Avenue, Mill City. Deputies conducted a neighborhood patrol of north Mill City.

Park Patrol, 2:42 a.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Deputies conducted a park patrol at John Neal park.

Disturbance, 8:04 a.m., NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Report of possible fight between two males. Neither male involved called in the incident so it was unknown who was involved. No weapons or injuries were observed.

Dog Complaint, 9:33 a.m., Oupor Drive, Scio. Dog owner cited for dog violations.

Violation of Order, 10:28 a.m., NW Sunset Court, Mill City. Deputies spoke to individual regarding locating a wanted person.

Shots Heard, 12:21 p.m., Blowout Road, Idanha. Deputies respond to area of possible dangerous shooting.

Trespass, 1:52 p.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Trespasser was gone when deputies arrived.

UEMV, 3:25 p.m., Main Street, Lyons. Deputies investigated theft and unauthorized entry to a motor vehicle.

Suspicious Vehicle, 10:28 p.m., SW Ivy Street, Mill City. Deputies located a suspicious vehicle with no one around.

Extra Patrol, 12:19 a.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Neighborhood patrol of south Mill City.

Sept. 21

Suspicious Circumstance, 12:37 a.m., Jordan Road, Scio. Deputies checked on a person per the caller’s request. The person did not need assistance.

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:51 a.m., Kingwood Avenue/Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Deputies were unable to locate a suspicious vehicle.

Suspicious Vehicle, 1:49 a.m., Thomas Creek Drive/Highway 226, Scio. Suspicious vehicle found with no one around.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 7:10 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputies responded to a recovered stolen vehicle. Ongoing investigation.

Fraud, 8:31 p.m., SE Fourth Avenue, Scio. Caller reported sending a deposit for a Facebook Marketplace purchase and later found it was a scam.

Suspicious Circumstance, 11:48 p.m., Main and Eighth streets, Lyons. Report of suspicious vehicles. Caller was unable to provide license plates and advised vehicles were gone.

Sept. 22

Traffic Stop, 8:44 a.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Driver cited for failure to renew registration.

Traffic Stop, 10:38 a.m., SE Juniper Street, Mill City. Driver warned about seat belt use.

Recovered Person, 1:01 p.m., NW First Avenue, Scio. Deputy recovered runaway juvenile.

Sex Offense, 3:25 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. No public narrative.

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:48 p.m., Montgomery Drive/Highway 226, Scio. Deputy arrived and saw a box truck had broken down and a tow truck was there removing it.

Sept. 23

Suspicious Vehicle, 7:43 a.m., Loma Drive, Scio. Deputies spoke to an individual regarding suspicious vehicle and private party tow.

Theft, 8:48 a.m., SE Third Avenue, Mill City. Caller wanted a theft documented.

Suspicious Circumstance, 9:31 a.m., Robinson Drive/Goar Road, Scio. Deputies investigated a sprinkler system that was causing a traffic hazard – wet road conditions – in Oregon.

Traffic Complaint, 1:38 p.m., SE Cedar Street, Scio. Deputies spoke to a resident regarding speeders in the area. Extra patrol will be conducted.

Trespass, 2:50 p.m., Rock Creek Road/Kingwood Avenue, Gates. Deputy checked area and was unable to locate.

Trespass, 4:30 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Illegal parking. Vehicles parked in the fire draft station. Deputy got both vehicles moved.

Trespass, 5:24 p.m., Thomas Creek Drive, Scio. Male, 40, of Scio and male, 42, of Albany cited and released for trespass II and criminal mischief II. Damages are estimated at $1,200 for damage to trees and property.

Extra Patrol, 11:45 p.m., SE Second Avenue, Mill City. Neighborhood patrol of south Mill City.

Sept. 24

Traffic Stop, 12:28 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive/Fishermans Road, Lyons. Driver warned for speed.

Extra Patrol, 12:35 a.m., N First Avenue, Mill City. Neighborhood patrol of north Mill City.

Traffic Stop, 1:29 a.m., NW Ninth Avenue/NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for 60 MPH in 40 MPH zone.

DUII, 2:32 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Male, 25, of Mill City arrested/cited for driving under the influence of intoxicants, and cited for driving while suspended and failure to install an ignition interlock device.

Traffic Stop, 3:22 a.m., HIghway 226, Scio. Female, 25, arrested for an outstanding warrant. She was also cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and failure to display plates.

Runaway, 7:56 a.m., Myers Place, Scio. Deputies assisted in locating a runaway juvenile.

Extra Patrol, Noon, SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Focused traffic enforcement patrols.

Traffic Stop, 7:08 p.m., Gates School Road, Gates. Two operators with a cameraman were shooting B reel footage at low speeds with one truck passing another. Deputy was shown footage and determined, based on the footage, is was not a racing event.

Suspicious Circumstance, 7:48 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Deputy parked in the area for more than 30 minutes and heard no gunfire.

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:27 p.m., 13th Street, Lyons. Deputies warned individual for being in the park after hours.

Extra Patrol, 9:14 p.m., SW Parkside Drive, Mill City. Deputies checked an abandoned residence.

Possible DUII, 10:26 p.m., 13th Street, Lyons. Deputies were unable to locate a vehicle believed to be DUII.

Traffic Hazard, 11:32 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Deputy removed debris from the roadway.

Sept. 25

Traffic Stop, 12:15 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Driver cited for 51 MPH in 40 MPH zone and driving while suspended.

Domestic Disturbance, 12:16 a.m., Hillside Way, Scio. Male, 28, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and transported to Marion County Jail.

Theft, 9:54 a.m., Main Street, Lyons. Caller reported a Samsung tablet and a Northwest battery were stolen. Value $830. Possible male subject.

Shots Heard, 10:54 a.m., Xmas Tree Road, Gates. Caller reported someone shooting too close to the Santiam Horse Camp near Monument Peak. Area was patrolled but unable to locate anyone shooting.

Traffic Complaint, 12:42 p.m., Kingwood Avenue/Dogwood Road, Mill City. Caller requested extra traffic enforcement after a recent crash.

Suspicious Vehicle, 1:03 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Deputy spoke with a caller about a suspicious vehicle and documented the information.

Suspicious Circumstance, 1:32 p.m., Highway 22, Idanha. Caller reported a lost dog in remote USFS land. Deputies were unable to locate dog.

Illegal Camping, 1:58 p.m., Rock Creek Road/Kingwood Avenue, Gates. Report of illegal campers. Campers were gone prior to deputies’ arrival.

Theft, 2:07 p.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Caller reported fraudulent charges from her bank account.

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:50 p.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Deputies contacted the owner of a suspicious vehicle at John Neal Park.

Dog Complaint, 11:20 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Deputy spoke to a dog owner and later discovered the source of the issue may be a discarded smoke alarm that still had a backup battery installed. The neighbor’s discarded alarm was sounding intermittently.

Person Assist, 11:54 p.m., Cole School Road, Scio. Caller was attending a party and thought someone took her car keys. Deputies located her keys in plain view on the driver’s seat of her car, which was locked. She was advised she was obviously too intoxicated to drive and needed to stay at the location or find a safe ride home. She chose to stay.

Sept. 26

Dog Complaint, 8:46 a.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Dog returned to owner.

Traffic Stop, 9:21 a.m., S First Avenue/SE Ivy Street, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violations.

Suspicious Vehicle, 9:32 a.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Vehicles left area prior to deputy’s arrival.

Sept. 27

Parking Complaint, 1:59 p.m., Jordan Road/Highway 226, Scio. Deputy asked people to remove vehicle from the “No Parking” zone.

Mental Health, 5:29 a.m., Miller Cemetery Road, Scio. Citizen reported comments he heard in a bar. No indications of a crime.
