In Memoriam: Jeremy Lee Bethell (Sept. 9, 1972 – Aug. 15, 2022)

Jeremy Lee Bethell, 49, of Stayton died Aug. 15, 2022. He was born on Sept. 9, 1972, to Ronald and Fern Bethell in Salem. 

Jeremy graduated from Stayton Union High School in 1990 and lived most of his life in the Mehama/Lyons area. After attending U.T.I. in Arizona he worked as a diesel mechanic before becoming the owner and operator of J.B. Cycle in Lyons. 

Jeremy attended Mehama Community Church. He had a love for tinkering and making things since he was a young boy. His hobbies included his love for collecting, being a rock hound, gold panning, enjoying pontoons and boats, motorcycles, four wheelers, hunting, and models of Star Wars and toys. 

Jeremy is preceded in death by his brother. Eric Pierce. He is survived by his parents, Ron (Sue) Bethell and Fern (Pete) Pierce; son, Bradley (Kendallyn Jones) Bethell; brother, Rob (Karla) Bethell; sisters, Holly (Jason) Lanning, Erin (Tom) Jones, Kari (Kenny) Moore, and Kori (Daniel) Nelson; other siblings, Kari Draper, Jenny Lee, and Jeffrey Cossart; and grandchildren, Bentley and Kennedy. 

A celebration of life will be held Sept. 11, 2022, at 3 p.m. at Camp Taloali, 15934 N. Santiam Hwy, Stayton. Reception to follow service.
