In Memoriam: Stephanie Luckini-Woolley (Jan. 14, 1995 – July 16, 2022)

Stephanie Gene Luckini-Woolley, 27, of Lyons died July 16, 2022. She was born in Salem Jan. 14, 1995 to David and Jennifer (Hayes) Luckini. She grew up in the Santiam Canyon/Stayton area, and attended Stayton High. 

Stephanie had a passion for horticulture and attended LBCC and Oregon State University, where she was set to graduate with a bachelor’s degree this fall. She was on the honor roll and Dean’s List. 

While attending school, Stephanie worked at LBCC and was a viticulture specialist at Willamette Valley Vineyards for the last four years. She loved her job, which included checking the sugar content of the grape and really thrived learning the entire wine making process.

On March 29, 2021, Stephanie married Christopher J. Woolley in Portland. Stephanie was devoted to Chris through his cancer diagnosis and treatments and in March of 2022 he lost his battle to cancer.

Stephanie loved her fur babies, Sparrow and Cyrus. She loved animals and people. She loved being outside enjoying nature and beautiful places; especially hiking to waterfalls. Stephanie loved her friends and family. Stephanie was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher J. Woolley. She is survived by her mother, Jennifer Luckini; father, David “Tony” Luckini; sisters, Ashley Luckini and Krysten Luckini; her nieces and nephews, Allison, Chloey, Garion and William; grandmothers, Janice Hayes and Darlene Luckini; aunt, Ronda Thurston; and uncles, Richard Hayes, and Randy, Danny and Rick Luckini. 

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 13 at Willamette Valley Vineyards in Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a scholarship in Stephanie’s name at Oregon State University.
