In Memoriam: Clement Frank (Sept. 27, 1948 – July 24, 2022)

Clement Andrew Frank, 73, died July 24, 2022. He was born Sept. 27, 1948, in Stayton to Walter and Betty Frank. After graduating from Regis High School, Clement served in Vietnam for the United States Marine Corp. 

Clement married Gaylan Esch on Aug. 29, 1970, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Stayton. 

Clement worked for Frank Lumber company for 50 years, maintaining memberships with Pacific Lumber Inspection Bureau, West Coast Lumber Inspection Bureau and the American Legion. He served on the Regis Athletic Association Board for several years as a member and a president. 

Spending time with his wife and sons was his favorite pastime. He coached the boys and many of their friends in Little League baseball, soccer and basketball. His hobbies included his love for casinos, detailing cars, and travelling to Europe, Hawaii and Canada, and throughout the United States. 

Clement was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Van Handel. He is survived by his wife, Gaylan; children, Aaron (Haven), Ryan (Gina), Branden (Kara), Dustin (Ashli); brothers, Steven, Gary and Ed; sisters, Sister Ruth, Beverly, Nancy and Judy; and grandchildren, Rowan, Aislin, Isabella, Ajay, Collin, Cade and Averi. 

Services were held July 28, 2022 at Queen of Peace in Salem. Contributions can be made to Wounded Warrior Project or a non-profit of one’s choice.
