April Lynn Kniebuehler-Trahan, 58, died unexpectedly on April 21, 2022, in Clarksville Tenn. She was born Feb. 10, 1964 to Mike and Lynn Kniebuehler in Libertyville, Ill.
In June 1982 she graduated from South Albany High School. She married Kenneth Trahan Oct. 7, 1989 in Camp Adair, Ore.
From a young age April’s love for animals was evident and throughout her life. She found her greatest joy in caring for her family of four-legged friends. April turned that passion into a life well lived by participating in 4H as a youth, becoming a certified farrier, training as a veterinarian technician and hauling animals throughout the country as her profession and showing world champion quarter horses.
April’s love for her family and friends was displayed in countless ways. She offered her time,talents, energy and support to anyone in need.
April is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Ken; brothers, Kurt and Greg Kniebuehler; her Rohweder family of aunts, uncles and cousins; and the Trahan family.
A celebration of life will be held July 30. An early morning prayer time is at 10 a.m. Mary’s Peak day use area in Philomath. A potluck reception is at 1:30 p.m. at the Summerlin residence, 38166 Franklin Butte Road, Scio. For information on the celebration, call 503-394-3035.
