SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE, 9:52 p.m. SE Fairview St., Mill City. Kimmel Park report of a juvenile screaming for mom. Deputies spok to 11 people either at park or coming from. All believed child to be playing with other children and not in actual distress. Deputies were unable to locate the involved juvenile.

TRAFFIC STOP, 1:03 a.m. Cole School Rd/Mertz Dr., Scio. Warrant arrest. Male, 35, cited and released on a Marion County Probation Violation warrant.
OUT WITH A VEHICLE, 1:37 a.m. N Main St., Scio. Suspicious vehicles at Scio High School. Two subjects star gazing.
JUNE 30
THEFT, 8:44 p.m. Jefferson Scio Dr., Jefferson. Responded to report of suspect trespassing and attempting to steal gas from farm complex. Suspect fled on foot before deputies arrived, left his vehicle parked as a hazard in the road. Deputies towed the suspect vehicle as a hazard. Investigation is ongoing.

SHOTS HEARD, 3:01 a.m. Lyons Mill City Dr., Lyons. Caller reported gunshots at unknown address west of their property. Wanted shots documented.
UEMV, 12:33 p.m. SE 2nd Ave., Mill City. At approximately 0315 this morning, two males entered a vehicle and stole several items worth approximately $800. A deputy is investigating.
TRAFFIC STOP, 6:15 p.m. Stayton Scio Rd., Scio. 52 year old female cited for Unsafe Passing on the Left.
OD INGESTION POISONING, 10:25 p.m. Jordan Rd., Scio. Party leaves another juvenile in the hospital for what is believed to be alcohol poisoning.
WARRANT SERVICE, 11:31 p.m. Camp Morrison Dr., Scio. Information regarding juvenile male who is an escapee from Oregon Youth Authority. Caller stated she believed he was attending a large party. Deputies made contact at the party. Juvenile was not located.
TRAFFIC STOP , 11:34 p.m. East Bilyeu Creek Dr/Camp Morrison Dr., Scio. Male, 20, of Happy Valley, stopped for failure to use turn signal, subsequently cited for Minor in Possession of Alcohol and warned for the turn signal violation.
MINOR IN POSSESSION, 11:40 p.m. Camp Morrison Dr., Scio. Juvenile was charged with minor in possession.
JULY 2
TRAFFIC STOP, 2:00 a.m. Richardson Gap Rd., Scio. Male, 23, of Lebanon stopped for moving violation. During stop driver showed impairment consistent with being under the influence. Subsequently arrested and transported to the Linn County Jail. Breath test indicated he had a BAC of 0.09%. Cited and released for DUII and Reckless Driving.
UEMV, 7:43 a.m. SW Kingwood Ave., Mill City. Deputies investigate theft and UEMV.
DOG COMPLAINT , 7:58 a.m. SE Ivy St., Mill City. Deputies lodged a lost dog at animal control.
WELFARE CHECK, 9:49 a.m. Kelly Rd., Scio. Request for welfare check on neighbors. Neighbors were home and fine.
ANIMAL COMPLAINT, 1:23 p.m. Shindler Bridge Dr., Scio. Deputies assist in a call regarding a bull fight. No bulls were injured, neither of them are bullies.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE, 3:25 p.m. Church St SE, Idanha. Responded to Frank Timber regarding a report of unlawful ATV use around gate and to look for illegal camps. Will continue to monitor.
TRAFFIC HAZARD, 5:11 p.m. Ridge Dr., Scio. Caller concerned about multiple vehicles parked along the road. All of the vehicles were lawfully parked.
FOREST TIMBER PATROL, 7:35 p.m. Quartzville Rd., Idanha. Patrolled USFS, BLM, Campbell-global & Cascade Timber properties. Area flooded with campers for the holiday weekend.
DEATH INVESTIGATION, 7:50:p.m. SW Main Ave., Mill City. Deputies arrived, learn elderly individual suffered medical conditions which are believed to be the cause of death.
NOISE DISTURBANCE, 8:21 p.m. Lyons Mill City Dr., Lyons. Quinceañera and had loud music that a neighbor complained about. The property owner was agreeable to neighbor`s request and turned music down.
ARMED DISTURBANCE, 9:44 p.m. Blowout Rd., Idanha. Caller reported a laser light pointed at her from nearby camp, then hearing two shots. Deputies investigated, found no evidence incident occurred.
DUII, 10:08 p.m. Shimanek Bridge Dr., Scio. Reported DUI driver. UTL.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE, 11:24 p.m. NW 4TH Ave., Scio. Female doesn`t seem to know where she is going, but refused help from a deputy.
DISTURBANCE , 11:45 p.m. NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Kids had an argument with adults at 7/11. There was no crime.
ARMED DISTURBANCE, 9:22 p.m. 5TH St., Lyons. Male, 46, of Gates, cited in lieu of custody on three warrants out of Salem, Mill City, Marion County Sheriff`s Office.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON, 12:18 p.m. Fish Hatchery Dr., Scio. Contacted a adult female acting strange at Roaring River Park. Female said she was fine and refused a ride back to Albany. The female left the park.
TRESPASS, 5:54 p.m. Jordan Rd., Scio. Caller concerned about partying at the water hole near the Jordan Bridge.
FIREWORK COMPLAINT, 8:31 p.m. Cedar St., Lyons. Adults and children were warned not to fire aerial (illegal) fireworks.

EXTRA PATROL, 12:39 – 1:51 a.m. Mill City. No egregious violations observed.
TRAFFIC STOP, 8:28 a.m. Mowitch St/Lyons Mill City Dr., Lyons Operator stopped for fail to maintain lane, and no front license plate. Op showed to have a suspended driver`s license. Op was able to provide document showing reinstatement fee was paid and license was no hole punched. Op warned for violations, advised to follow up with DMV regarding DMV record.
DEATH INVESTIGATION, 11:47 a.m. Hwy 22, Idanha Body recovery was coordinated near Mt. Jefferson for a missing hiker . Body recovered and removed by the funeral home as requested by family members.
WELFARE CHECK, 2:10 p.m. Mountain Ave S., Idanha. Welfare check on an elderly male. All was well.
TRAFFIC STOP, 3:13 p.m. SE 7th Ave/Se Fairview St., Mill City. Vehicle stopped for terminated insurance and a moving violation. Registered owner of the vehicle was able to provide a copy of the valid insurance.
FOREST TIMBER PATROL, 4:46 p.m. Thomas Creek Dr., Scio. Patrolled Avery, BLM, ODF and Weyerhaeuser timber properties. Several Weyerhaeuser gates were not secured. Weyerhaeuser has been notified.
UUMV, 5:25 p.m. Deford St., Mill City. Reported stolen vehicle in Mill City. Caller the registered owner. Last saw vehicle parked in front of the house around 2 p.m.twhile he was running errands. Caller believes male, 31, who lives with his estranged girlfriend took the car. The male has access to the keys but no permission to take the car.

TRAFFIC HAZARD, 8:03 p.m. Fairview St., Mill City. Neighbor who lives next to a recently, graded gravel road placed a broken, plastic wheelbarrow and pieces of firewood near the county right of way, designed to slow the large amount of vehicle traffic.
ASSIST OTHER AGENCY, 8:39 p.m. SE Fairview St., Mill City. Assisted Marion County looking for a vehicle that was involved in an elude. Unable to locate.
HARASSMENT, 8:46:28 p.m. SE Fairview St., Mill City. Both sides of a former romantic relationship gone sour were contacted and both provided a statement. The 33 year old female was told to not contact the 35 year old male caller or his wife. Both sides appeared in Mill City to watch the fireworks.
