June 6

Traffic Stop, 8:39 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Driver cited for driving while on cell phone.

Traffic Stop, 8:53 a.m., NE Ash Street, Scio. Driver warned for seat belt use.

Traffic Stop, 9:27 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Trespass, 12:53 p.m., SW Linn Blvd., Mill City. Deputy checked for reported persons loitering in business parking lot.

Accident, 3:48 p.m., Providence Drive, Scio. Driver pulling a trailer went off the road and into a ditch. No injuries. Driver cited for driving uninsured.

Suspicious Person, 7:11 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Caller reported a suspicious male near his property. Caller wanted information logged.

Traffic Stop, 10:41 p.m., Richardson Gap Road/Rainbow Drive, Scio. Deputy attempted to catch up to a speeding vehicle but was unable to locate it again.

June 7

Suspicious Person, 10:21 a.m., 11th Court, Lyons. Deputy checked area and located many people walking around, but none that matched the caller’s description.

Suspicious Circumstance, 3:59 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputy spoke with caller regarding possible theft.

June 8

Traffic Complaint, 11:16 a.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Report of juveniles riding dirt bikes on the roadway. Deputies were unable to locate.

Security Check, 12:46 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Deputies conducted a walk-through and community-related policing at Scio High.

Stolen Vehicle, 6:01 p.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Report of stolen vehicle. Deputies recovered the vehicle within the hour. DNA evidence was obtained. Ongoing investigation.

June 9

Extra Patrol, 1:08 a.m., NE Wall Street, Mill City. Neighborhood patrol of north Mill City. Deputies spot what they believed to be nefarious activities. 

Elude, 1:32 a.m., NW Seventh Avenue/NW Alder Street, Mill City. Deputies attempted a traffic stop on above vehicle. Vehicle drove recklessly through town to evade deputies. Pursuit was terminated. Ongoing investigation.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 8:39 a.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Deputies recovered a stolen vehicle.

Harassment, 2:13 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Harassment at Scio High.

Stolen Vehicle, 6:16 p.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Caller wanted to list his vehicle as stolen but was unable to provide the needed proof of ownership or vehicle specifics. 

ATL Vehicle, 7:49 p.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Deputies attempted to locate a stolen vehicle seen in the area.

June 10

Juvenile Complaint, 8:11 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Deputy spoke to juveniles at Scio High.

Dog Complaint, 9:12 a.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Deputy attempted contact with dog owner to address ongoing dog violations.

Harassment, 9:26 a.m., NW Seventh Avenue, Mill City. Deputy spoke to male about road rage incident.

Hit and Run, 3:11 p.m., SW Broadway Street, Mill City. Female, 58, of Mill City crashed her vehicle onto a sidewalk, caused minor damage to a business, and walked away from the scene. Female was issued a criminal citation for failure to perform duties of a driver – property damage in lieu of custody.

Suspicious Vehicle, 10:10 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Report of a suspicious vehicle in Mari-Linn School parking lot. Vehicle was gone upon deputies’ arrival.

Shots Heard, 10:55 p.m., SW Second Place, Scio. Report of shots in the area. Deputies unable to locate.

June 11

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 12:47 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputy recovered a stolen vehicle. Ongoing investigation.

Neighborhood Dispute, 1:21 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. No crimes. Aggressive party was warned to stay away.

Traffic Hazard, 3:15 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Vehicle was removed prior to deputies’ arrival. No injuries or property damage.

Disturbance, 10:41 p.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Male, 58, of Scio arrested for Assault IV Domestic Violence. Male, 31, of Scio arrested for Physical Harassment Domestic Violence.
