Register now for suicide prevention training in Scio

“Question. Persuade. Refer.” are three steps anyone can learn to help prevent suicide. Make a positive difference in the life of someone you know. 

A suicide prevention training for adults will be held May 25 at Centennial Elementary’s library, 38875 NW First Ave., Scio. The training runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Participants will learn:

• Myths and facts about suicide

• Suicide clues and warning signs

• How to ask someone if they are thinking about suicide

• How to persuade someone to stay alive

• How to refer someone for additional support

The training is provided by Linn Together. Linn Together provides substance use education, resources and support to the community that promote the physical and emotional well-being of youth and their families.
