April 26

Fraud, 12:51 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Discussed suspicious activity on the caller’s account.

Trespass, 12:57 p.m., W Scio Road, Scio. Report of possible trespass. Officers responded and found no trespasser.

Dog Complaint, 2:20 p.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Deputy arranged to meet with the caller after digital evidence of a dog violation was found.

DUII, 3:03 p.m., Robinson Drive, Scio. Female, 61, of Sweet Home arrested for DUII and reckless driving.

Extra Patrol, 4:03 p.m., Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Extra patrol request.

Civil Dispute, 9:11 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Deputy responded to a civil matter over trailer sale.

Traffic Complaint, 9:15 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive/Rio Vista Lane, Lyons. Caller reported reckless driver and possible road rage. Caller did not have a make, model or license plate for suspect vehicle.

Disturbance, 11:14 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputy responded to disturbance between ex-romantic partners. Parties were separated for the rest of the night.

April 27

Suspicious Vehicle, 7:25 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Private property provided tow slip.

Dog Complaint, 9:33 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputy provided information to the caller on supplying evidence to support their complaint about dog barking.

Dog Complaint, 5:14 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Deputies search for possible at-large dog.

Welfare Check, 6:48 p.m., Shelburn Drive, Scio. Deputies conducted a welfare check on elderly male who was doing well.

Criminal Mischief, 7:21 p.m., Fourth Street, Scio. Resident noticed a small item had been burned on her property. She believed a neighborhood child was responsible and wanted the incident documented.

Extra Patrol, 9:13 p.m., Mill City. Deputies conducted crime prevention patrols in Mill City at local businesses, parks, neighborhoods and schools.

April 28

Traffic Stop, 2:54 a.m., Farris Road, Scio. Driver cited for no insurance, failure to register vehicle and warned for dragging a 100-foot extension cord down the road.

Suspicious Circumstance, 3:58 a.m., Jefferson-Scio Drive, Scio. Driver cited for no insurance, failure to register vehicle and warned for dragging a 100-foot extension cord down the road.

Extra Patrol, 4:27 a.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Security check of construction site at bridge.

Accident, 4:47 p.m., Kingston-Jordan Road/Sandner Drive, Scio. Driver attempted to miss a deer and crashed.

Suspicious Person, 5:04 p.m., Myers Place, Scio. Neighbors had a misunderstanding about a situation that happened on the road. One neighbor was told to stay off the property and call LCSO if there is suspicious stuff going on.

Suspicious Circumstance, 6:13 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Ongoing neighborhood dispute. One party was moving out the next day.

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:58 p.m., NW Ninth Avenue, Mill City. Caller reported a suspicious vehicle being driven by a known criminal from Gates. Vehicle wasn’t located.

April 29

Accident, 1:01 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Single-vehicle crash occurred when the driver fell asleep and drifted off the road, striking a power pole. Driver was not injured. Pole needed to be replaced.

Burglary, 9:16 a.m., Kingston-Lyons Drive. Deputies responded to a burglary call. A stolen vehicle was left at the scene. Ongoing investigation.

Forest Timber Patrol, 10 a.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Patrolled BLM property. Illegal trails are being made around the 2.5-3.5 mile mark. No one was found in the area. Snow line at 5 mile mark with no fresh tracks.

Suspicious Circumstance, 11:07 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Licensed student at Scio High provided her vehicle to an unlicensed driver to leave school grounds. Students returned and disciplinary action will be taken against all involved after speaking with parents.

Forest Timber Patrol, 12:18 p.m., Larwood Drive, Scio. Patrolled area on BLM. Mine patrolled and camera maintenance.

Animal Complaint, 1:10 p.m., 25th Street/Ash Lane, Lyons. Deputy checked area for stray goats but did not locate.

Found Dog, 4:09 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputy transported a stray dog to Animal Control.

Noise Disturbance, 10:20 p.m., NE First Avenue/NE Ash Street, Scio. Deputy responded.

Suspicious Vehicle, 11 p.m., SW Kingwood and SW High avenues, Mill City. Deputy responded to assist tow company.

April 30

Suspicious Vehicle, 1:29 a.m., Fir Street, Lyons. Caller reported vehicle in the neighborhood she did not recognize. Vehicle left prior to deputy’s arrival. .

Found Property, 11:34 a.m., Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Phone found in the mud and returned to owner.

Suspicious Circumstance, 3:06 p.m., Shimanek Bridge Drive, Scio. Deputies conducted an area check of a bridge construction area for possible trespassers.

Suspicious Person, 6:22 p.m., S First Avenue/SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Deputies responded to a suspicious person call.

Traffic Stop, 8:38 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Driver stopped for driving without headlights.

May 1

Suspicious Person, 1:45 a.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Deputy checked area and no one was located.

Theft, 10:04 a.m., NW Fourth Avenue, Scio. Deputies took a report of a theft from a motor vehicle – chainsaw and pistol. $1,600 total value.

Suspicious Circumstance, 11:46 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Caller had questions about waterway laws.

Threats, 11:58 a.m., NW Beech Street, Scio. Deputies answered questions about a restraining order.

Theft, 1:16 p.m., NW Cherry Street, Scio. Caller reported a chainsaw taken from property.

Trespass, 1:16 p.m., Jordan Road, Scio. Citizen reported trespassing. Trespassers were not located and the citizen was not responding to attempts to contact for follow up.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 2:09 p.m., SE Second Avenue, Mill City. Stolen vehicle from Stayton was located.

Traffic Stop, 2:28 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver warned for unsafe pass on the left.

Trespass, 3:49 p.m., Shimanek Bridge Drive, Scio. People trespassing on a closed bridge.

Suspicious Vehicle, 4:27 p.m., SW Third Avenue/SW Beech Street, Scio. Caller reported a suspicious vehicle, which deputies checked on.

May 2

Theft, 7:55 a.m., NW Garden Drive, Scio. $1,800 worth of tools and miscellaneous items stolen from an unlocked vehicle between 4/30-5/2.

Missing Person, 8:38 a.m., Gilkey Road, Scio. Adult female reported her adult sister as missing. Her sister was involved in a motor vehicle crash and was located at a hospital.

Assist Other Agency, 10:18 a.m., NE Cherry Street, Mill City. Deputy checked an address for a person who failed to register as a sex offender. The person no longer lives there.

Threats, 10:22 a.m., Crabtree Drive, Scio. Adult female was causing a disturbance at a post office by yelling at an employee. The female was warned not to do this in the future.

Extra Patrol, 8:10 p.m., Mill City. Deputies conducted focused traffic enforcement in Mill City.

Fraud, 9:13 p.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Deputies investigated an online scam.

Domestic Disturbance, 11:42 p.m., Gray Pine Street, Lyons. Verbal domestic disturbance. Parties involved developed a safe plan for the night.

May 3

Traffic Stop, 2:09 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Driver cited for failing to register vehicle.

Traffic Stop, 3:38 a.m., SW Ivy Street/SW Hall Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for failing to register vehicle.
