Take Back Drug Day set for April 30

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office will once again hold a Drug Take Back event with sites around the county available to dispose of your unwanted, unused or expired prescription medications.

Deputies will be located at Mill City City Hall, 444 S First Ave., from 9 – 10 a.m. April 30, and Scio Fire Hall, 38975 SW Sixth Ave., 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. the same day.

Any type of Rx and/or over-the-counter medications are acceptable collections. 

Make sure lids are on tight if they are liquid.

Intravenous solutions, injectables, syringes, medical waste or any type of needle will not be accepted.

As a reminder, there is also a drop box located at the Sheriff’s Office at 1115 SE Jackson St. in Albany.
