Students can learn to be Master Gardeners

Junior Master Gardeners, a seven-week after school series for students in third, fourth and fifth grade, will begin April 27 at the Santiam Elementary library.

During the series, students will learn about insects, soil, healthy living, cooking skills and more. Supplies will be provided.

Students will have the opportunity to learn in the Santiam Elementary garden and gain skills for their own home garden.

The series is open to the first 20 students who sign up. 4-H registration forms can be picked up in the Santiam Elementary front office. Registration forms are due April 20.

The series runs on Wednesdays April 27 through July 8 from 3:20 to 5:20 p.m. It is free to students. For more information, email [email protected].
