David Eugene Belyeu, 77, passed away on March 31, 2022. He born to Daniel Jordon and Evelyn A. Belyeu on Jan. 20, 1945, in Newport. Following graduation from Stayton High School, he joined the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. Making it home safely, he went into transportation as a long-haul truck driver. David also was a member of Marion County Search and Rescue. He also had a love of riding horses.
David is survived by his sister, Margaret Thompson; brothers, Thomas Belyeu, Charles Belyeu and Fred Belyeu.
