News for those who live, work and play in the Santiam Canyon

Auction donations being accepted

The 18th Annual Santiam Scholarship Auction & Banquet committee will return after two years on May 21.

This year’s theme is “Sports Fanatics,” so dig out your favorite team’s jersey or pompoms and come dressed for fun. The event raises money to support youth in the Canyon area as they transition into post-high school college and career training.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Dinner is at 6 p.m., and is catered by Adam’s Rib Smokehouse. Dinner tickets are $38 if purchased before April 15.

The auction is at Immaculate Conception Parish Hall, 1077 N Sixth Ave., Stayton.

Committee members are seeking donations as well as selling dinner tickets for the event. For more information, contact the Santiam Canyon District Office at 503-897-2321.
