Dog Complaint, 10:55 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Dog owner issued written warning for failure to license and a citation for dog at large.

Juvenile Complaint, 10;20 p.m., S First Avenue, Mill City. Juvenile returned home on her own accord.

Disturbance, 11:11 p.m., Myers Place, Scio. Non-criminal disturbance.

March 9

Welfare Check, 9:17 a.m., Meridian Road, Scio. Welfare check on male subject. All was fine.

Assist Other Agency, 9:58 a.m., NE Fourth Avenue/NE Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Assisted OSP in taking a male into custody on a police officer hold.

Burglary, 12:07 p.m., Ridge Drive, Scio. Four-wheeler stolen from shop.

Theft, 1:47 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive/Fishermans Road, Lyons. Male reported a stolen vehicle. Deputy requested ownership paperwork and caller was unable to provide it/quit responding to deputies’ contact attempts.

Parking Complaint, 2:54 p.m., SE Hazel Street, Mill City. Silver Honda and travel trailer parked. Deputies contacted owner and were assured it would be moved.

Accident, 3:39 p.m., Stayton-Scio Road, Stayton. Male, 25, of Scio cited for careless driving after rear-ending a vehicle turning into a residential driveway. Both vehicles were totaled. Male and second-vehicle passenger and driver reported only minor abrasion-type injuries.

Civil Dispute, 8:26 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Deputies handled a civil issue regarding power being shut off.

March 10

Overdose, 9:06 a.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City.

Suspicious Circumstance, 10;45 a.m., Highway 226/Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Deer bones found.

Harassment, 10:51 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Citizens continuing to report civil issues at property.

Extra Patrol, 10:51 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City.

Extra Patrol, 11:20 a.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City.

Extra Patrol, 12:20 p.m., Highway 22, Mill City.

Unauthorized Entry, 3:08 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons. Caller’s vehicle was broken into by the river.

Extra Patrol, 4:51 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons.

Elude, 8:55 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputy attempted to stop a motorcycle for a traffic violation and the rider failed to yield.

Traffic Stop, 10:38 p.m., N First Avenue, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and expired registration.

Failure to Register, 11:55 p.m., Ninth Street, Lyons. Paul Baker, 37, of Lyons was arrested following an investigation for failure to register as a sex offender.

March 11

Suspicious Vehicle, 8:33 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Security check. All was well.

Extra Patrol, 10 a.m., Highway 226, Scio.

Traffic Stop, 10:17 a.m., Highway 226/SW Fifth Avenue, Scio. New vehicle owner warned for not having vehicle in his name yet.

Motorist Assist, 10:26 a.m., Highway 226/Kingston-Jordan Drive, Scio. Deputy assisted motorist to change a tire.

Traffic Stop, 10:28 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Driver cited for improper display of registration stickers, and warned for speeding, no mud flaps and no brake lights.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 10:30 a.m., Gates Bridge East/Mad Creek Road, Gates. Deputies recovered stolen vehicle. Ongoing investigation.

Dog Complaint, 12:51 p.m., Providence Drive, Scio. Deputy transported stray dog to Animal Control and lodged it there.

Criminal Mischief, 1:02 p.m., Fox Valley Road, Lyons. Male trespassed from property after trying to steal a motorcycle and damaging it in the process. Male was turned off by the property owner. Deputies investigating.

Dog Complaint, 1:03 p.m., Ridge Drive, Scio. Deputy attempted contact with dog owner regarding a dog violation and left a card on the door.

Forest Timber Patrol, 2:20 p.m., Larwood Drive, Scio. Patrolled BLM property and checked on a mine claim in the area. No signs of criminal activity.

Suspicious Person, 4:31 p.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. Caller reported verbal altercation between tenant and landlord.

Forest Timber Patrol, 6:17 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 7:20 p.m., Montgomery Drive, Scio. Stolen vehicle recovered.

Extra Patrol, 9:06 p.m., Fox Valley Road, Lyons. Extra patrol of a property seeing recent suspicious activity. Nothing seen during this time.

Forest Timber Patrol, 10:35 p.m., Camp Morrison Drive, Scio. Patrolled Upper Neal Creek up to MP 6.5. Truck was parked with no one around. Truck was seen earlier with an ATV in the bed. It appears they were out for a ride.

Suspicious Vehicle, 11:38 p.m., Lulay and Zurfluh roads, Scio. Vehicle gone before deputies arrived.

March 12

Traffic Hazard, 8:08 a.m., Stayton-Scio Loop, Scio.

Traffic Hazard, 9:19 a.m., Stayton-Scio Road/Shelburn Drive, Scio. Report of cattle on the roadway. Deputies were unable to locate.

Assist Other Agency, 9:31 a.m., SE Sorbin Avenue, Gates. Assisted Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

Trespass, 11:36 a.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Caller reporting civil issues involving water rights. Non-criminal at this time.

Suspicious Person, 6:26 p.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Deputies unable to locate.

March 13

Traffic Stop, 3:19 a.m., S First Avenue/Grove Street, Mill City. Driver warned for equipment violation.

Assist Other Agency, 12:13 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Assisted APD with a call for service.

Assist Other Agency, 5:05 p.m., NW Alder Street, Scio. Deputy assisted OSP with subject walking on the road.

Sex Offense, 9:53 p.m., Mill City. Report of grown men soliciting and receiving explicit images from juvenile. Ongoing investigation.

March 14

Extra Patrol, 3:22 a.m., Sixth Street, Lyons. No egregious violation observed.

Suspicious Vehicle, 10:07 a.m., Eighth Street, Lyons. Parking complaint.

Trespass, 10:09 a.m., NW Santiam Blvd., Mill City. Female was trespassing but was gone prior to the arrival of the deputy.

Burglary, 10:51 a.m., Rodgers Mountain Loop, Scio. Stolen safe.

Disturbance, 1:17 p.m., N Main Street, Scio. Disturbance between students at Scio High.

Burglary, 5:31 p.m., Richardson Gap Road, Scio. Caller believed her shop was entered due to a construction crew reporting missing items. Items were later located and determined to be misplaced.

Accident, 6:42 p.m., Shilling and Shelburn drives, Scio. Caller reported hitting a deer on the way to work.

Motorist Assist, 7:55 p.m., Highway 226, Scio. Deputy discovered a box truck parked on the side of the road. Truck had broken down and driver was waiting for help to arrive.

Disturbance, 10:36 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Domestic disturbance with one injured person. Ongoing investigation.
