Motorist Assist, 8:51 a.m., Highway 226, Scio. Vehicle ran out of fuel.

Warrant, 10:12 a.m., S Main Street, Lebanon. Male, 25, of Scio cited on warrants.

Animal Complaint, 10:59 a.m., Goar Road, Scio. Report of animal neglect. Deputy unable to contact possible owner. Uncertain if anything is criminal without further investigation.

Forest Timber Patrol, 11:39 a.m., Thomas Creek Drive, Scio. Patrolled Weyerhaeuser, Avery and BLM timber property. Nothing to report.

Extra Patrol, 12:05 p.m.,
Franklin Butte Road, Scio.

Trespass, 12:46 p.m., Thomas Creek Drive, Scio. Deputy contacted subject who was trespassing. Subjects were out exploring and not causing any other problems. Subjects were warned and escorted off property.

Assist Other Agency, 8:24 p.m., Neal Park Road, Lyons. Agency assist for Stayton PD.

Accident, 12:47 a.m., Stayton-Scio Loop/Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Male, 21, of Stayton cited and released for DUII after a single-vehicle crash.

Suspicious Vehicle, 12:30 p.m., NW Alder Street/N First Avenue, Mill City. All was well.

Suspicious Circumstance, 2:22 p.m., SW Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Caller reported a suspicious circumstance involving a male asking people if they want a ride. Non-criminal at this time.

Traffic Stop, 2:24 p.m., SE Juniper Street/S First Avenue, Mill City. Driver warned for speed.

Civil Standby, 3:08 p.m., SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Deputies facilitated a court ordered civil standby.

Theft, 5:01 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Caller reported a possible theft. Deputy was unable to get information from the owner.

Welfare Check, 8:38 a.m., Shelburn Drive, Scio. Deputies unable to make contact.

Suspicious Circumstance, 11:07 a.m., SW 11th Avenue, Mill City. Caller reported spam phone calls.

Civil Dispute, 11:59 a.m., SW Ivy Street/SW Swift Avenue, Mill City. Deputy responded to a civil dispute.

Civil Dispute, 12:48 p.m., Hungry Hill Drive, Scio. Caller reported a landlord vs tenant civil matter.

Extra Patrol, 2:31 p.m., Fifth Street, Lyons.

Warrant, 2:43 p.m., Wheeler Loop, Lebanon. Female, 29, of Scio cited and released on an Albany Municipal Court warrant for theft II.

Welfare Check, 3:09 p.m., Myers Place, Scio. Male did not need assistance.

Domestic Disturbance, 3:29 p.m., NE Alder Street, Mill City. Unable to locate.

Suspicious Circumstance, 9:16 p.m., Highway 226/Fish Hatchery Drive, Scio. Caller reported suspicious circumstance. No sign of forced entry at the sheep farm.

Suspicious Circumstance, 11:10 p.m., SW Cedar Street, Mill City. Deputy located the open door at the old gym building. Deputy cleared the building with K9 Thunder. Nobody was located inside and nothing appeared out of the ordinary.

March 4

Assist Other Agency, 3:22 a.m., NW Alder Street, Mill City. Deputies waited with an expectact mother until medics arrived and transported her to the hospital.

Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons.
Everything was fine.

Traffic Complaint, 12:24 p.m., NE Alder Street, Mill City. Deputy will check area when available.

Theft, 2:28 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Mill City. Report of possible theft.

Threats, 6:09 p.m., NE Alder Street, Mill City. Complaint of subject in vehicle driving by the house too fast, honking the horn and sending threatening text messages. Deputies attempted to locate the suspect.

Prowler, 11:57 p.m., SW Parkside Drive, Mill City. Deputy drove area and was unable to locate a person matching the description.

March 5

Disturbance, 7:17 a.m., Robinson Drive, Scio. Male, 53, of Scio arrested after he physically assaulted an elderly family member, causing injury. He also attempted to assault deputies and spit on them. He was arrested for criminal mistreatment 1, assault 4 – domestic, attempted assault on police officer and attempted aggravated harassment.

Dog Complaint, 11:52 a.m., Ash Street, Lyons. Cat trespassed from dog’s property. Cat left in a hurry.

Dog Complaint, 6:05 p.m., Franklin Butte Road, Scio. Report of dog at large. Deputies contacted owners and advised them to watch their animals or there could be potential legal consequences.

Traffic Hazard, 6:41 p.m., Apple Loop/Main Street, Lyons. Abandoned vehicle towed as a traffic hazard.

Shots Heard, 6:53 p.m., SW Greenwood Place, Mill City. Deputies checked area and were unable to hear any further shots to identify where they originated from.

Traffic Stop, 7:27 p.m., Highway 226/Echo Hill Road, Scio. Driver warned for speed.

Traffic Stop, 9:17 p.m., SE Kingwood and SE Second avenues, Mill City. Driver cited for driving while suspended and driving uninsured.

Traffic Stop, 9:35 p.m., S First Avenue/SE Fairview Street, Mill City. Driver warned for expired tags.

Disturbance, 10:54 p.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Reported disturbance between caretakers. Situation was resolved without issue or further law enforcement intervention.

March 6

Trespass, 12:06 a.m., SE Kingwood Avenue, Mill City. Ongoing disturbance. No crimes reported.

Suspicious Circumstance, 12:36 p.m., Lyons-Mill City Drive, Lyons. Suspicious vehicle with no plates with a male going through the back seat. Deputy responded and was unable to locate vehicle.

Forest Timber Patrol, 12:54 p.m., Blowout Road, Idanha. Patrolled Freres and USFS property. All campgrounds closed for the season and gates secured. A few visitors were parked along the road.

Forest Timber Patrol, 2:33 p.m., Cedar Mill Road, Lyons. Patrolled Weyerhaeuser, Avery and BLM properties. Found Thomas Creek mainline gate open; deputy closed and secured it. Weyerhaeuser was notified.

Traffic Hazard, 3:44 p.m., Sandner Drive/Stayton-Scio Road, Scio. Driver ran out of gas.

Suspicious Vehicle, 7:22 p.m., Gilkey Road/N Ruby Loop, Scio. Vehicle gone upon deputy’s arrival.

March 7

Animal Complaint, 2:31 p.m., Gates School Road, Gates. Report of cattle out. Caller called back a short time later to advise the cattle returned home.

Criminal Mischief, 3:27 p.m., Bull Drive, Lyons. Caller reported a neighbor was scaring off geese and a shotgun pellet broke a window. Neighbors came to a civil compromise.

Burglary, 6:16 p.m., Front Street, Lyons. Two firearms valued at approximately $1,250 stolen from residence. Unknown when the burglary occurred. Ongoing investigation.

Noise Disturbance, 10:30 p.m., NW Clayton Place, Scio. Adult male warned for having loud music.

Warrant, 10:43 p.m., NW Clayton Place, Scio. Male, 34, of Scio issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody for an outstanding warrant.

March 8

Security Check, 4:35 a.m., N Main Street, Scio. Deputy patrolled Scio High. Nothing suspicious located. All buildings secure.
